Second place was just a "Nooooooo" out of first.
Eleven of the top forty are based on comic books, and one filmmaker made the top 40 with every outing of the decade... Okay, more than one did, but I was thinking of someone who's made more than one movie that decade.
The decade is also a different field of comparison than the individual year is, so a movie like Black Pearl may come out stronger to pull ahead than Master and Commander does, when faced with movies like Iron Man and Minority Report.
